about

To work backwards, Sandy Dillon and Ray Majors passed away on August 4th 2022, hours apart.
We are flooded with memories of how this recording came to be. To be clear and honest, it wasn't our favourite. In November of 2006, The Sisters Euclid had been asked to backup Sandy Dillon and her husband, Ray Majors, for what was to be a collection of songs of their choosing, to be recorded for an upcoming project on the German label, Tradition and Moderne. The Bremen studio, Cosmic Studio, was on life support. Not much worked and it was cold. Sandy and Ray were friendly, warm and receptive to the Sisters Euclid's musical contributions. In a bizarre twist, this recording was released as a Sisters Euclid project, featuring Sandy Dillon and Ray Majors as guests. This was not the original plan. We do not know the reason and any further sleuthing is rather pointless.Time does its thing and we soldier(ed) on and respectfully thank the kind, loving spirits and memory of Sandy and Ray. With much gratitude, Kevin
